Lincoln Park is a wonderful example of Cheyenne’s smaller neighborhood parks. Although not as large as the community or state parks, this little park still brings quite a bit of great outdoors to the city-dwellers. Inside the Medicine Bow - Routt National Forest, you’ll find Vedauwoo. This outdoor site contains rocky outcropping of boulders, slabs and cliffs perfect for hiking and rock climbing. The weathered Sherman granite in the Land of the Earthborn Spirit makes for some of the best wide crack climbing (offwidths) in the world. Feel free to bring a tent as well, since the area also contains a convenient campground.
